• Data Transfer 2.x.x (Separate application)

Cause

Using an older version of the Data Transfer with a new version of the AWA software.  If you have the AWA software version 4.0 or greater and you try to transfer 4.0 data using the Data Transfer 2.x.x you will get a Database Type Conflict Error.

Resolution

To resolve this error use the data transfer that is part of the AWA 4.x.x version of the software.  In the 4.x.x versions of the software the Data Transfer is no longer a separate application, but is part of the AWA application.  Open the AWA application; if the destination database does not exist create a new database, open the database that is to be the source database, click on the Data Transfer Icon on the toolbar, or click on the Database – Data Transfer menu item to begin the data transfer.

 To prevent confusion in the future, uninstall the Data Transfer 2.x.x.
