| AWA Interrups PI Test | ||||||||||||
|
Question: When I run the PI (Polarization Index) test, everything appears to be going fine, then after 5 minutes it aborts the test, reporting “User Abort”. I re-run the test and it always stops at the same time. What is the problem? Answer: The Windows computer is stepping in and aborting the test, because the screen saver has been turned on. To use the screen saver with the AWA, you should set the screen saver to 15 minutes. To do this: START – SETTINGS – CONTROL PANEL – DISPLAY – SCREEN SAVER – WAIT (Set wait to 15 minutes) The activation of the screen saver is interpreted as a user intervention, which requires the high voltage test to stop. The AWA is an automatic machine, but it should not be operated without trained personnel present. |
